Our Story... (so far)
2020
The year no-one will forget...
On Saturday, 18 April, 2020 we lost our beloved Nanna Maureen to COVID-19.
Nanna loved her family, her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren more than anything. One way she showed she cared was through her love of a 'nice card' sending them to celebrate all occassions.
Using some money Nanna had gifted us, we bought some card making material and sent a persoanlised, handmade card, to our friends and family during this sad, unpredictable and often worrying time.
People loved them and The Little Card Studio was born.

2021
Juggling motherhood with three young children whilst returning to work my full-time job in the emergency services, I enjoyed my evening 'escape' to work on my cards.
With my husband often working late shifts and my children in bed, I would spend hours working on new designs.
The needs of our children grew, and life became very stressful, I really didn't want to give up The Little Card Studio but something needed to change.
Putting every last bit of energy I had at the end of each day, I was determind to grow this business into something which worked for me and my family (I am so glad I did!)
2022
With our Etsy store going well and our online community growing, we we approached by our first school to help raise funds.
Could you help produce cards for our school Christmas fundraiser? Absolutely YES!
Receiving the drawings the children had taken time to produce and turning them into gorgeous keepsakes for family and friends was the most amazing feeling in the world.
in 2024 we completed our third Christmas school fundraiser year and still provide this service to our original school.

2023
Knowing the direction we wanted to take The Little Card Studio we applied for business building courses based in Teesside.
We were awarded a business grant by the University of Teesside and we able to set up a professional print studio at our home.
This took our business to a whole new level and set the foundations to where we are today.
We will be forever grateful for this opportunity.
2024
The time had eventually come where my children needed me more than anything and I was able to leave my full-time job.
Being able to work full-time in The Little Card Studio enabled me to support two of my children while they were on a reduced school timetable.
It meant I could support my family emotionally, mentally and physically as well as financially.
We completed our third Christmas School Fundraiser.
